Registration will close Jan 15, 2024. This is because I need a few months in advance to book domestic flights within the Philippines to ensure we get on the same flight as a group to our scheduled destinations. Please note that I only have 14 spots available.

I require an initial deposit of $500 to hold your spot and then I offer payment plan options of either 2 payments of $1100 or 4 payments of $550. If you choose to pay the remaining balance before those deadlines you can contact me at [email protected]

In general, the Philippines is a very safe place to visit, especially to the areas we will be traveling to (which see a lot of tourism). The local people are very welcoming and friendly, and known for their hospitality. There are certain islands of the Philippines that are considered unsafe for tourists, but we are not traveling to those areas.

Also, we will have experienced local guides and drivers with us most of the time, which should hopefully ease your mind. :)

The Philippines in June is hot and humid, and also the start of the wet season (making it ideal because that usually means less tourists). However, June does not typically see typhoons or heavy rain storms everyday (August-Oct are more known for heavy rain and potential typhoons). Expect plenty of sunshine still!

I will be emailing you a full packing list prior to the trip so you don't have to wonder what to pack.

Currently Philippines does not requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or for all visitors. Typhoid and Yellow Fever vaccination (if traveling from a country where Yellow Fever is present) are strongly advised. To see a full list of recommended vaccinations, go here.

International flights to Cebu, Philippines are NOT included, along with tips (for guides, drivers, etc), alcoholic beverages, snacks, massages and other incidentals, and visa or other travel fees. Your trip fee covers all accommodations in the Philippines from June 8-15th (4-star hotels), transportation and transfers within the Philippines (including 2 domestic flights), all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), guides and excursions, photography workshops, and entrance/park fees.

Since we will be starting from Cebu, Philippines, you will need arrive to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport by 2PM on June 8th (local time). Alternatively, if you find a cheaper flight to Manila, you can arrange your flights to Manila and then book a short, domestic flight to Cebu.

You just need to make sure you arrive to the Philippines no later than 2PM on June 8th in Cebu and for your departing flight on June 15th, it needs to be after 3PM since we will be returning from El Nido that morning. You might consider adding a buffer day on the end of your trip in case flights are cancelled or rescheduled.

I will arrange transportation to pick you up from the Cebu airport. From there, we will all be driving together to Moalboal where our hotel is for the next few days. If you arrive before June 8th, you will need to arrange your own hotel for the night, along with transportation to/from the hotel.

Yes. If there is something you don't want to participate in like hiking, swimming with whale sharks, canyoneering or snorkeling, that is totally fine! Of course, I would prefer that everyone enjoys the activities together as a group, but I also understand if there is something you would rather not do. It is your trip, after all!

In addition, if you just need a day of total rest and relaxation, you are free to skip out on the day's activities if you wish!

Filipino cuisine is known for its combination of sweet, savory, and often, sour flavors, influenced by Chinese, Spanish, and other Asian cuisines. The cuisine often features chicken, fish, pork, vegetables, rice, and fresh fruit.

I will send out a survey prior to the trip requesting your food preferences and allergies. Vegetarians and vegans are also accommodated.

*Please note that all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included in the trip cost, but alcoholic beverages are not included. In addition, you will need to either buy or bring your own snacks.

No! The workshops are optional and for those interested in learning how to take better travel photos, even with just an iPhone! You don't need to bring a camera either. We will teach you how to improve your photos no matter what equipment you have.
