In truth, Morocco is a safe place to visit, even for women. There's really only petty crime (scams and pickpockets) and you're unlikely to be assaulted or seriously hurt as a tourist in the country. Morocco is super safe for tourists now, and it's only becoming more so as tourism increases to the country.

Also, we will have an experienced local guide and driver with us AT ALL TIMES, which should hopefully ease your mind. :)

Morocco in April is pleasant, not cold and not too hot. However, it can get a bit chilly at night in the desert. Temperature during the day range from the low 70's to high 80's. Expect plenty of sunshine and pleasant weather!

I will be emailing you a full packing list prior to the trip so you don't have to wonder what to pack.

Currently Morocco does not requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination or for all visitors. Only a valid passport (must have at least six months of validity at time of entry). To see up-to-date travel requirements and restrictions for Morocco, go here.

International flights to Morocco are NOT included, along with tips (for guides, drivers, etc), alcoholic beverages, snacks, massages, and visa or other travel fees. Travel insurance is also not included, but highly recommended.

Your trip fee covers all accommodations (4 and 5 star lodging) in Morocco from April 9-18th, transportation, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), guides and excursions, hammams (spas), photography workshops, and entrance fees.

Since we will be road tripping through Northern Morocco, the best and most economical thing to do is book round trip tickets to Casablanca. From there you can either take a 2 hour train from the airport to Marrakech OR hop on a quick domestic flight from Casablanca to Marrakech.

For the return flight, you can either book a domestic flight from Fes to Casablanca OR drive 3 hours with me (and the driver) to Casablanca from Fes.

You just need to make sure you arrive no later than 4PM on April 9th (or April 20th for the second trip) in Marrakech and for your departing flight on April 18th, it needs to be after noon from Casablanca if you plan to drive with us. If you plan to fly from Fes to Casablanca, you can depart anytime on the 18th (or April 29th for the second trip).

I will arrange transportation to pick you up from the Marrakech airport. If you arrive before April 9th (or April 20th), you will need to arrange your own hotel for the night, along with transportation to/from the hotel.

Yes. If there is something you don't want to participate in like the hot air balloon, hiking,  camel rides, or sand boarding, that is totally fine! Of course, I would prefer that everyone enjoys the activities together as a group, but I also understand if there is something you would rather not do. It is your trip, after all!

Hammams and massages are also totally optional!

In addition, if you just need a day of total rest and relaxation, you are free to skip out on the day's activities if you wish!

Morocco is world renown for their cuisine. Characterized by its bold use of spices, aromatic herbs, and a harmonious blend of sweet and savory elements, Moroccan dishes are a culinary delight! The cuisine features staples like couscous and pasta often accompanied by tender stewed meats (such as lamb and chicken) and vibrant vegetables, as well as tagine, a slow-cooked stew named after the clay pot in which it's prepared. Fruits, nuts, and honey are frequently incorporated too.

I will send out a survey prior to the trip requesting your food preferences and allergies.

No! The workshops are optional and for those interested in learning how to take better travel photos, even with just an iPhone! You don't need to bring a camera either. We will teach you how to improve your photos no matter what equipment you have.
